Largest Hampton by Hilton Hotel opening at Stansted Airport

Currently in its final stage of development, the world’s largest Hampton by Hilton Hotel at London Stansted Airport is expected to open its doors in August 2017. The hotel showcases 357 rooms built across 7 floors with impressive views across the runway.

The hotel will be run by a 12-strong management team, led by general manager, Paolo Franchi.
He said: “It’s been an incredibly exciting few weeks as we make the finishing touches to the world’s largest Hampton by Hilton hotel.
“Whether embarking on a family holiday, business trip or exploring everything that London has to offer, we look forward to welcoming our first guests in a couple of weeks’ time.”
The size of the building makes it the largest Hampton by Hilton hotel out of its vast 2,100 chain. Extra features for Hilton Honours guests include a “straight to room” Digital Key technology, which will allow guests with a secure way to access their rooms.

The tech, which is activated one day prior to arrival, will allow Hilton Honors members to pre-book their desired room via their smartphone, while on the day of arrival being able to unlock their room via app and smartphone usage. No more waiting at the reception desk to check in!

The hotel sits a 2 minute walk away from the main terminal of the airport guests can reach the Stansted Express arrival within 3 minutes.
With security features and technology always evolving, such as robots parking our cars at the airport, what could be next for hotels? What technological advances would make your airport hotel visits easier? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
